Our History

Deep Roots in Dayton Valley, NV

The Holley family has returned to the 19th century farming traditions of Dayton Valley, where Italian immigrants produced vegetables and meat for the thousands of residents of the Virginia City Comstock.

Family Farm

Rob's grandfather, Cecil, moved to Dayton Valley in 1970. He and his son, Bill, developed a reputation for raising quality beef cattle and hay. Now decades later, Rob and his family (wife Loni, and children Daniel, Caleb, and Anna) continue that farming tradition by raising grass-fed and finished beef and lamb, soy and GMO-free pork, as well as USDA organic vegetables.

Our Philosophy

Loving Our Land and Animals

Genesis 1:31 "And God saw everything that he had made, and, behold, it was very good." Earth is a masterpiece! In order to be the best stewards of our farm, we acknowledge that animal, vegetable, mineral, and other systems all work together in a complex order that maintains the health of each seperate part while ensuring the vitality of the whole.

Stewardship with Compassion

We at Holley Family Farms employ historical and sustainable farming methods - fostering healthy relationships between plants, animals, and the environment in which we live - and all the while, maintaining relationships with our community and the very people who support our farm and enjoy preparing and eating the food that we produce.

Our Commitment

Vegetables, Animals, and The Golden Rule

We farm as stewards of the land, working together as a family to maintain the health and well-being of the land and livestock entrusted to our care.

Quality through Integrity

We strive to maintain ecological, economical, and generational sustainability that gives honor to God, the Creator, and the generations of Holley farmers and ranchers that have labored before us. Through the practices of sustainable stewardship, we’re able to maintain our commitment to providing only the very best, most healthy and completely wholesome local food to our many customers and friends.
